A little about the escrow.com sales process, as a third party, to protect both parties:
1. When there is full agreement on the price, the agreement document is prepared by the seller in Norwegian and English.
In the event of unnecessary and extra time consumption for the seller,
additional costs may be incurred in addition to what has been agreed.
2. When the agreement document is completed, and both parties agree.
Now the buyer will be able to start the process with docusign.com at their own expense,
to ensure correct signing of the document by both parties. (Tip: try using "TRY FOR FREE")
Once both parties, buyer and seller, have signed the document validly with docusign.com,
the agreement is binding and we can continue the process.
This ensures that all parties have an official, legally binding copy.
To be precise, the highest bidder is the winner, subject to the following conditions listed below.
Once the seller has received and approved the signed agreement with the approved signatures of the buyer and seller,
they are the winner of the domain.
If the buyer's signature is not of a formally approved type, you risk losing the domain, as the bid will be considered rejected.
3. Buyer can start the process and fill out the required form on the escrow.com website.
Be careful and accurate with everything you fill out in the form,
and make sure that the deadline you have for inspection of the received item is set to 1 (one) day.
When everything is satisfactorily completed, pay agreed amount and add the amount for any additional costs on your own.
If not, the seller will cancel the entire, and the process of filling this out will have to be done again.
In case of cancellation at this point, see point 7.
Hopefully, we are in agreement with the entire process at this point, that this will most likely not happen.
4. Once the seller receives an email confirmation from escrow.com that the process has been initiated by the buyer,
and upon their request, the seller uploads the signed agreement between the parties.
Escrow.com will then review the agreement and either approve, request additional information, or reject it.
If the agreement being rejected and the sale cannot be completed, point 7. below applies.
5. At this point, all formalities shall be completed.
Escrow.com will ask the seller to provide the final required information
the (“EPP Code also known as the AUTHINFO Code”) and make it known to the buyer.
Once received and accepted by the buyer, the buyer has 1 (one) day to confirm receipt and acceptance.
The information itself will be provided to the buyer by escrow.com, and not directly by the seller.
6. At this point, the domain transfer itself should be complete, and escrow.com will now pay the agreed amount to the seller.
7. If at any point during the process the buyer decides they to withdraw, they will byer charged all costs
incurred by escrow.com and docusign.com, as well as a compensation to the seller of 20% of the purchase price
to the seller without further discussion. The same applies to cancellations once the process at escrow.com has been initiated.
Domain sales are done via Escrow.com, by agreement and consensus on approved terms of agreement between the parties..
